Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have something I haven't done in a while but it's so much fun, gel printing. And I have used Distress Oxide inks this time and it was so much fun, so let's go straight to the prints I made and how I made them!

Mono Printing or gel plate printing is so much fun and it's so easy but the results have that "how did you do that" effect. With a few colours you can make amazing backgrounds with no effort at all. So be sure to watch the video tutorial where I walk you through the process.
For the monoprint backgrounds I made I used the Ranger Ink - Gel Plate - 3 Pack - Printing Plates ( SBC | CST ) they come in a set of three a big and small rectangle and a circle shape and they are a great size for card making and other paper crafts. I also used the Ranger Ink Small Brayer ( SBC | CST ) and I like this size and this brayer because it's easy to hold and rolls really well.
I made all prints on Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and for the first cards I used a combination of Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Tumbled Glass ( SBC | CST | CRF )
Shaded Lilac ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG ) and Squeezed Lemonade ( SBC | CST | CST ). I used the Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Mini Set 30 ( SBC ) to make some patterns on the gel plate.
And here I used the Tim Holtz - Shadow Script 2 ( SBC | CST ) In the same colour as the colours I used for the print which gives it a soft somewhat pastel kind of look.
For the next cards I used Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Tiles ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG )

I combined the first two cards with a black and blue note card.
On this card I used the Tim Holtz Festive Repeat ( SBC | CRF | CST ) in the background with the Tim Holtz Large Funky Festive ( SBC | CST | CRF ) I coloured the paper with ink before cutting the flowers.

with Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Wild Honey ( SBC | CST | CRF ), Carved Pumpkin ( SBC | CST | CST ) and Worn Lipstick ( SBC | CST | CST )
These are the cards in the orange colour scheme which makes very happy cards:-) On the right card I used the tiles stencil to make some doodle squares and I scribbled a bit on the edges. And I finished with a printed sentiment on both cards.
I coloured the Large Funky Festive flowers and assembled them and added them in a group, with a Nuvo - Jewel Drop - Honeysuckle ( SBC ) in the center.

The next colour combination is Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Picked Raspberry ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG ) with Seedless Preserves ( SBC | CRF | JGG ) and Spun Sugar ( SBC | CRF | CST | JGG ) And I used the Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Mini Set 28 ( SBC ) for mark making.
Another card with the Tim Holtz Festive Repeat ( SBC | CRF | CST ) die to make a fun element in the background.
The Pink purple cards I combined with a white and black cards base and black die cut sentiment with the Tim Holtz Alphabet Die - Handmade ( SBC | CST | CRF ).

And the Tim Holtz Large Funky Festive ( SBC | CST | CRF ) flowers in black on this card with a printed sentiment.
Another pair of cards with the same colour combination as the previous yellow-ish cards Tumbled Glass ( SBC | CST | CRF ) with Shaded Lilac ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG ) and Squeezed Lemonade ( SBC | CST | CST ) And I used the Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Mini Set 28 ( SBC ) again.
For this card I used Tim Holtz Masquerade ( SBC | CRF | CST ) die cut out of black card and I added a bit of the gorgeous Ranger Ink - Embossing Powder - Teal Tinsel ( SBC ) along the edges.
On this card I used the Festive repeat die again combined with the Large Funky festive die and a printed sentiment.
For the last set of cards I used the Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Mini Set 28 ( SBC ) again and
Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Picked Raspberry ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG ) with Seedless Preserves ( SBC | CRF | JGG ), Fossilized Amber ( SBC | CST | CRF ) and Spun Sugar ( SBC | CRF | CST | JGG )

These colours especially of the left card had a bit of a halloween feeling to it so I decided to make it a bit spooky with the tim Holtz Handmade alphabet in black.
And I added the Masquerade mini's in black with orange for the eyes in the same colour i used for the print. And a bit of doodling next to the sentiment.
On this card I used a printed sentiment again, it had so much pretty texture that I didn't want to cover it too much. I hope you like this post, thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
