Stencil Techniques - Experimenting With Ink & Heat Embossing

Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have a fun page to share. I have been playing with ink, stencils and embossing powder and just did some experimenting. And even though I didn't quite get what I aimed for I really like the result.

Now this was just a fun page to make with some experimenting and that can go completely different than you imagined it, you can hate it even:-) Or you get a wonderful unexpected result. I used a bunch of fun techniques on this page that you can use on cards too. Be sure to watch the video to see all techniques at work.

I started with adding colour to the page with Nuvo - Aqua Flow - Summer Holiday ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) Aqua Splash.

Then I added Nuvo Clear embossing ink ( CST | CRF | TNC | TNCUK ) through a Tim Holtz - Layering Stencil - Mini Set 30 ( SBC ). And then I added a layer of Nuvo Crystal Clear Embossing Powder ( SBC | CST | CRF | TNC | TNCUK ) and melted it with a heat tool.

I used the Tim Holtz - Distress Ink Pad Mini - Broken China ( SBC ) and Mermaid Lagoon ( SBC ) to add colour in different ways. And I used the Tim Holtz - Mini Ink Blending Tool ( SBC | CST | CRF | JGG ) and Foam ( SBC | CRF | CST ) to add the pattern and texture with the stencils and blend the inks.

I cut the Tim Holtz Trinket Frames ( SBC | CRF | CST ) and the Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems 2 ( SBC | CST | CRF ) out of Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and I coloured the frame with Brilliance Metallic Ink Galaxy Gold ( SBC

I hope you like this post and want to give it a try yourself. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
