5 More Fab Stencil Techniques & Card examples Collab

Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have more fab techniques with stencils. Stencils are so cool and so versatile and affordable and I basically love them so here are 5 more things you can do with stencils.
(Below are the cards I made and the main products used, the full list of supplies is linked at the bottom of this post. Affiliate links may be used at no cost to you, thanks so much for your support!)

I am going to show you 5 different techniques with stencils and if you haven't seen the 5 Ways to Use Stencils video yet, make sure to check it out. The techniques are very doable for all crafters beginner to advanced so be sure to watch the video to see all techniques in action.

This video is part of another collaboration, this time with Ingrid Blackburn, she's super talented crafter and a lovely lady with an amazing YouTube channel so make sure to check out her video for 5 more techniques, it's linked in my video description.

Technique One Art Crayons blending

The first technique is Art Crayons blending, the American Crafts Art Crayons Set 1 Warm ( SBC ) are water soluble and easy to blend with sponge or your finger.

For the first card I used American Crafts 6 x 8 Foundations Paper Pad ( SBC ) with the fun American Crafts - Wildflower and Honey Collection Stencil Set ( SBC )

I doodled around the flowers with a POSCA Black  Paint Pen ( JGG ) and a Sakura Micron Pen ( SBC | CST ) I used the Tonic Studios - Sentiments Strip Die Set - Hello ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) for the sentiment In two colours.

Technique Two Colour Trapping

For this card I used Ranger Ink - Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Dried Marigold( SBC | CRF | JGG ) to colour the background and the Dylusions Stencil - Sugar Lumps - Small ( SBC ) to create the pattern.

For the trapped colour I used Distress Ink Pads - Evergreen Bough ( SBC | CST ), Crushed Olive( SBC | CRF | CST ) and Rusty Hinge ( SBC | CRF | CST ) combined with Ranger Ink - Texture Paste - Transparent Matte ( SBC

For the sentiment I used the Tonic Studios - Sentiments Strip Die Set - Hello ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and some fun accents with Nuvo - Crystal Drops Gloss - Caribbean Ocean ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC

Technique Three Shimmer Powder

These grungy looking backgrounds are made with Nuvo Shimmer Powder and in the video I share some tips on how to get a pretty result. I used the Tonic Studios - Sentiments Strip Die Set - Hello ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and Thanks ( SBC | CST | CST | TNC ) with
Craft Perfect A4 Glitter Card Silver Screen ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and Craft Perfect Weave Textured Card Teal Blue ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC )

I used three colours Nuvo Shimmer Powder Atlantis Burst( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC
Lilac Waterfall( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) and Blue Blitz( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )
with the Tonic Studios Essentials Mesh Panel Stencil | 6in x 6in ( CRF | CST | TNCUK

Some Nuvo - Glitter Drops - Sherbert Shimmer ( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) as a fun accent and to add some dimension.

And the Nuvo - Stone Drops - Belgium Bluestone ( SBC | CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) on the other card.

Technique Four Blended Glimmer Paste

On this cards I used two colours Glimmer Paste Esmeralda Green( SBC | CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ) and Amethyst Purple( SBC | CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNCcombined with the Dylusions Stencil - Sugar Lumps - Small ( SBC ). I coloured the background with Nuvo - Sparkle Spray - Lavender Lining ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) this is an easy way to add a layer of colour real fast.

For the sentiment I cut it three times out of Craft Perfect Weave Textured Card Teal Blue ( CST | CRF | TNCUK | TNC ), Ocean Blue ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and Craft Perfect Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and glued them together a bit off set so the layers show.

Technique Five Layered Ink

Here I wanted to show you that you don't need special layering stencils to do a layering technique and get a fun result.

For this card I used Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Fossilized Amber ( SBC | CST | CRF ) with Wild Honey ( SBC | CST | CRF ) and Frayed Burlap ( SBC | CRF | CST | JGG

This ink is opaque so the previous colour would be covered when adding another colour over it but when you add it with lighter pressure when applying you can see more layers. I used the  Dylusions Stencil - Sugar Lumps - Small ( SBC ) again and you can see the different looks you can get with just one stencil.

I cut the Tonic Studios - Sentiments Strip Die Set - Thanks ( SBC | CST | CST | TNC ) out of fun foam or craft foam and once out of Craft Perfect Glitter Card Welsh Gold ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC ) and glued them together, this gives you instant dimension and the yellow from the foam is visible from the sides which fits right in with the colour scheme.

I hope you liked this post and it sparked your imagination. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
