Grungy Distress Oxide Ink Effect & Fussy Colouring Art journal Page with Rubber Dance Stamps

Hi lovely crafty friends, today I have another take on the new Rubber Dance Colour challenge. I used distress oxide ink to make the grungy looking the background and Nuvo alcohol markers to fussy colour the flowers and leaves.
(All supplies are linked to different stores at the end of this post in the thumbnails. The different stores are also linked behind the product name. Affiliate links may be used at no cost to you.)

I have some fun and easy Techniques with Distress oxide ink and Nuvo Alcohol Markers and they are also great for beginner crafters. So be sure to watch the video to see how this is done.

This is the colour scheme for this months challenge and this time I didn't only want to use the colours but I also wanted to use the picture itself for inspiration. You can join the challenge in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge and have a chance on winning a great prize.

I used Distress Oxides Ink - Forest Moss ( SBC | CST | CST ) to colour the edges of a piece of Craft Perfect - Watercolour Card ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ). I used the Tim Holtz - Distress Sprayer ( SBC | JGG | BLT ) to spread the colour a bit.

I stamped the Crazy Flowers #1 ( RBB ) with VersaFine Ink - Onyx Black ( SBC | CST | CST | BLT ) on Craft Perfect  Ultra Smooth Card ( CRF | CST | TNCUK | TNC )

I used tonic Studios Alcohol markers to colour the flowers. I used Fragrant Oranges ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) for the heart. The Rosy Pinks ( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) for the edge of the flower. And the Woodland Greens
( SBC | TNCUK | TNC ) for the leaves.

And I used the Tim Holtz Micro Serrated Scissors ( SBC | CST | TNC | TNCUK ) to fussy cut the flowers and leaves. The serrated blade makes that the scissors kind of bite in the paper which makes it so easy to cut. One of my favorite tools I use all the time.

I added some texture with the same colour Distress Oxides Ink - Forest Moss ( SBC | CST | CST ) I used  the Vintage Postcard ( RBB ) to do some freehand stamping.

I made colour charts for my Nuvo marker pens this way you can see all the colours at one glance. And that makes it easier to pick the colours you like to use and it will prevent you from buying sets double because you can see what you have. Here's the link for these colour charts for you to download and fill them yourself.

I hoped you liked this post and found some new inspiration. Thanks for stopping by and make sure to keep on crafting!
